Attorney JOHN T. ROGERS has over 25 years’ experience in representing clients in Nebraska and Iowa.  Mr. Rogers earned his B.A. degree in English from the University of Nebraska and subsequently attended Creighton University where he earned his J.D degree.  Mr. Rogers's legal experience is in civil litigation, primarily in debtor / creditor law.  Mr. Rogers has represented a wide variety of clients, including major retailers, financial institutions, debt buyers, collection agencies and individual debtors and creditors.  Mr. Rogers has frequently lectured on various topics, including judgment enforcement, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), automobile leasing, and creditors' rights in bankruptcy.  In addition to private practice, Mr. Rogers has worked as an attorney manager for an asset liquidation company, as general counsel for an automobile leasing company, and as in-house counsel for a collection agency.  Immediately prior to joining Kasaby Schmoke, Mr. Rogers served as the Program Attorney for the Nebraska State Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project, where he advocated pro bono representation and assisted low-income Nebraskans in obtaining legal counsel and advice.  Mr. Rogers is admitted to practice in Nebraska and the Federal District Court for the District of Nebraska.
